GOLF COURSE &

PRO SHOP

A primary amenity of Camden Plantation will be the 18-hole, Par 72 golf course. The course will incorporate existing and created wetlands with drainage canals and lakes to generate a marsh-type environment. Wetlands or lakes will come into play to some degree on almost all holes.

Five sets of tees will be strategically placed on each hole to allow the golfer to select the degree of difficulty and length. The greens will average 6,000 SF, with moderate undulation. The course will have a continuous cart path system, which will also be available to the residents during designated hours in the mornings and evenings for walking or running.

The golf course will also feature a full-service practice fairway with a comprehensive lesson complex at the opposite end of the practice tee. A putting green will flank the first tee.

COMMUNITY CENTER

The Community Center is expected to be a structure which will provide a central nucleus for the entire development. This eye-catching building is envisioned to be inspired by the design and appearance of the 1847 Camden Courthouse, while accommodating the functional requirements of the modern facility.

The facility will provide for administrative, social, learning and recreational activities including a fitness center with strength and cardio equipment and entertainment area.

 
 

OUTDOOR AMENITIES

Adjacent to the clubhouse will be a swimming pool with lap lanes, wading pool, and large sun deck. Amenities available for pool guests may include a concession facility, covered patio and outdoor grilling. A playground, paved multipurpose/tennis court, a croquet court, sand volleyball, trails, walkways, and a special parking area for bicycles and motorcycles will be located around the community center area. The entire development has sidewalks & bike trails planned to link primary and secondary roads. Trails would provide linkage between each area of development and connect to the sidewalk network.

The commercial development will characterize a "neo-traditional Coastal Carolina" architectural motif, providing essential needs for the Camden Plantation residents, the surrounding population, and those traveling US Route 17.
